Last month my little sister came to visit and I had one of the best weeks ever! It was wonderful to spend time with her and show her around. One of the first places we went to was the new Hello Kitty Cafe at the Irvine Spectrum. I actually hadn't been there before since it was so new but I thought it would be fun to check it out so we all went together. I'm really glad we did because we had a nice time and the food was not only super cute but yummy too!
The Hello Kitty Cafe is located in the Giant Wheel Court so it is pretty easy to find once you get to the Spectrum. Just look for the ferris wheel and walk that direction! The cafe is small but cute with all the Hello Kitty and Sanrio characters all over it. There were some tables in front of it as well.
I was a little worried about the line because I had read that it had been very long over the weekend but we were there on a weekday so it didn't seem too bad. Unfortunately the line does move very slowly so it was still around a 20 minute wait but it beats the much longer wait I heard about. My husband volunteered to wait in line for us while my sister and I went to one of the Spectrum stores. He is the best. <3 After 10 minutes we went back and waited the rest of the time with him and then it was our turn to place our food order.
There aren't a lot of items on their menu but it was still hard to choose what to get because it all sounded good!
In the end we got a couple of the pocket pies, sugar cookies, macarons, iced coffee, and my sister got the strawberry mint lemonade.
We also bought a few waters because the bow bottles were so cute and one of the gift boxes.
I loved their cash register and they gave us all free Hello Kitty ears to wear!
We ended up having a really good time and the items we ordered we got were all yummy! We really liked the strawberry mint lemonade and our favorite of the food that we tried were the pocket pies (pictured below). They sort of taste like a fancy and delicious poptarts. My husband and I want to go back just for those pocket pies!
I'm so glad we decided to stop by. Below is our Parkhopbears video of our visit to the cafe. Hope you enjoy it!
