Dapper Day Spring 2015 Recap

About a month ago I went to this year's spring Dapper Day at Disneyland.  For this Dapper Day, my husband and I decided to make a weekend of it. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel on Saturday night and it was wonderful and relaxing!  It's still my favorite of the hotels on Disneyland property but I'm a little biased since we got married there. :)

I didn't dress up too much on Saturday because it wasn't technically Dapper Day yet but I did decide to Disneybound and wear an outfit inspired by a Disney character.  Can you guess who?

If you guessed Rapunzel from Tangled you got it! I wore light and dark purple, had my little Pascal on my shoulder, and wore a flower headband.  I doubted anyone would notice but someone said "nice Rapunzel!" in the lobby so I guess it was a little more obvious than I thought!

The weather was a little chilly but we still sat by the pool and sipped on drinks.

Next we headed to the Dapper Day Expo at the Grand Californian.  I really liked the photo backdrop but I wish they had it last year when I was wearing my Orange Bird outfit!  It would've matched perfectly!

After spending some time at California Adventure, we headed over to Disneyland for our dinner reservation at Blue Bayou.  We still had some time so we stopped by the area near the Royal Theater so I could get a couple photos taken near Rapunzel's tower and Flynn's Wanted signs!

It started to drizzle so we made our way over to the Blue Bayou.  It was perfect timing because we were able to avoid the rain while we ate our yummy meals!

After that we went back to the hotel so we could take it easy and hang out in the room.  I was fighting the start of a cold so I tried to get some extra rest.

The next day was Dapper Day! After breakfast, it was time to get neat and ready!

I originally planned to wear a new dress but because of the chance of rain I decided to save it for another occasion.  Instead I wore a different blue dress I found on sale at Forever 21 a while back.  It was comfy and went with my tights and boots which kept my feet dry!

I used a Disney character as inspiration for my outfit again, this time as another princess who also happens to be my favorite- Belle from Beauty and the Beast!  I added hints here and there- a white sweater (so that I was wearing blue and white like her provincial dress), pinned on a flower that looked like a rose, and a headband with a blue bow.

I also wore a bracelet that says "Tale as old as time" and did some nail art inspired by Chip.  Finally I wore my awesome Once Upon A Time necklace that my family gave me for my birthday last year.  New episodes of Once Upon a Time started that same day so I sort of had my outfit be inspired by Belle from the TV show too!

I got a couple photos in my outfit at the Beast's Library in the Animation building in California Adventure.  I love that room!

"With a dreamy, far-off look
And her nose stuck in a book
What a puzzle to the rest of us is Belle..."

One of the first things we did was head towards the lounge at Carthay Circle.  It usually gets really crowded on Dapper Day so we tried to go early. Most the tables were already full but we were able to grab two seats at the bar.  Again we had good timing because it started raining while we were inside and we were able to avoid the worst of the rain yet again!

We hung around for a little while longer after Carthay but couldn't stay the whole day because we had errands to run.  It was a wonderful Dapper Day weekend!  Despite the rain there was a good turn out and we had a lot of fun!

    1. Thanks! :) I love the little Pascal- he came with a magnet bottom so that he can sit on your shoulder! I got the bracelet from a friend as a bridesmaid gift- I really like it! At Blue Bayou, I got a steak and Jared got the jambalaya. They both came with gumbo- delicious! :D

  2. Looks like you had a lot of fun with your outfits that weekend. They both turned out great and I love how you found so many spots throughout the park to match what you were wearing. I just read that starting next year both Spring and Fall Dapper Day will be on Sundays so I'll have more chances to go to DL dressed up. :)

    1. That's great news! I always hated how the fall Dapper Day was on Fridays. I think they'll get more people on a Sunday. I'm happy to hear they're changing it!
