Last Friday, ElecTRONica made its debut at California Adventure. It replaces Glow Fest from this past summer and takes place in the the Hollywood Pictures Backlot and Sunshine Plaza. This nightime event and dance party is based on the upcoming film, Tron: Legacy, that will be in theaters on December 17th. ElecTRONica is very well done with excellent lighting and effects that really make you feel as though you have walked into the video game the film is based on.
I recently checked out Glow Fest at California Adventure and got some pictures! Glow Fest is a street party complete with colorful lights, music, dancers, and video screens. It takes place in Sunshine Plaza and the Hollywood Pictures Backlot.
So this past Friday, me and my fiance did one of the Wine Walks that are a part of the Disney Food and Wine Festival at California Adventure. There are three different wine/beer tasting walks you can choose from. There is the California Classics Wine Walk, Viva Italia Wine Walk, and the Craft Beer Walk. We enjoy our California wine so we went for the California Classics.
For the Food and Wine Festival at California Adventure this year, the Wine Seller and Festival Gift Shop is located in the Festival Showplace. Inside the shop was a lot of nice festival themed merchandise. Check out these pictures of some of the merchandise they sell:
The Festival Showplace for the Food and Wine Festival is located in Stage 12. Stage 12 is not usually open and I hadn't been inside before so I was excited to check it out! For the festival, it is the place to go for the Wine Seminars, the Marketplace, the Star Lounge, and the Wine Seller/Festival Gift Shop.
So it's finally the time I know you've all been waiting for! It's time to talk about food and wine! This past weekend, I went to California Adventure to check out the Food and Wine Festival. I took lots of pictures so I'll be breaking this up into a few entries that I'll be posting throughout the week. So let's get started!
Disney's Food and Wine Festival begins tomorrow! It takes place at California Adventure and will go on until May 31, 2010. The first weekend of the festival will include Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri from Food Network. There are several seminars and demonstrations that don't require reservations but are first come first serve so you should show up early in order to get a spot. Make sure to look at the schedule to get the details for the activities you want to attend. During the festival, there are new items on the menus at restaurants at the California Adventure park. For example, last year Pizza Oom Mow Mow had a ravioli dish on their menu that I enjoyed very much!
Disney's California Food and Wine Festival is coming up! The resort banners have been changed to advertise it:
The festival which takes place at California Adventure, starts on April 16 and goes until May 31st.
The festival includes seminars and demonstrations and of course lots of food and wine to try! So mark those calendars and take a look at this Disneyland link for the schedule and details of the upcoming festival: Disney's California Food and Wine Festival
Happy St. Patrick's Day! As a St. Patty's Day treat, I decided to make today's post on where adults can enjoy a cold beer while visiting the Disneyland Resort.
The most obvious place to go to is a bar at one of the several restaurants in Downtown Disney District. There's Uva Bar, ESPN Zone, Tortilla Jo's, House of Blues, Rainforest Cafe, and several more! There's also the restaurants and bars found at the Disneyland Resort Hotels!
If you want something a little different though, California Adventure also has some spots where you can grab a beer at a cost that's similar to those places in Downtown Disney.
